BCG Attorney Search
A law firm seeks an admitted attorney within Puerto Rico for a promising Remote Immigration Attorney position based in San Juan, PR. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated attorney to gain valuable experience and advance their career with an established firm. The attorney will report to the Managing Immigration Attorney, manage their caseload, and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.
Duties
Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions. Represent individuals in removal proceedings at Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals. Manage a workload of diverse cases. Conduct intake with detained individuals at centers. Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions. Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as needed. Collaborate with law enforcement and community organizations on immigration law changes. Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients. Develop strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony. Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases. Requirements
At least 3-5 years of experience in immigration law. Team player with strong interpersonal skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward. Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR, detained cases, citizenship, and other USCIS applications. Familiarity with case management software preferred. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications
Admitted to practice law in Puerto Rico. Skills
