Position Summary...
Join Walmart as a Director, Corporate Development and M&A, and lead high-impact strategic initiatives that shape the company’s future. This is a unique opportunity to drive Walmart’s inorganic growth through acquisitions, investments, and partnerships across Walmart U.S., Sam’s Club, and Walmart International. As a central leader, you’ll serve as the deal lead for all elements of the M&A process, working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
About the Team Walmart’s Corporate Development team is a small, high-performing group that partners with senior leadership to identify, evaluate, and execute strategic M&A opportunities. The team’s mission is to drive value through acquisitions, investments, divestitures, and strategic partnerships, supporting Walmart’s growth and innovation goals. As a Director, you’ll collaborate with business and functional leaders, as well as external partners, to deliver transformative results.
What you'll do...
Serve as the deal lead for all elements of the M&A process, from strategy formulation to execution and integration.
Partner with senior leaders across all business units and geographies to develop M&A strategy and identify, assess, and execute acquisitions and investments.
Lead financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence for potential transactions.
Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including investment banks, private equity, and venture capital firms.
Develop and present compelling business cases and recommendations to Walmart’s senior leadership.
Oversee post-close integration and support the realization of deal value and synergies.
What You’ll Bring
Significant experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or a related field, with a strong track record in M&A execution.
Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex transactions and drive strategic recommendations.
Proven leadership and relationship management skills, with experience engaging senior executives and cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of influencing decision-making at the highest levels.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Strategic mindset with a passion for driving growth and innovation through M&A.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00, with additional performance bonuses and possibly stock options for certain positions.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field and 5 years’ experience in Merger & Acquisitions, Investment Banking, Business Development, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in Merger & Acquisitions, Investment Banking, Business Development, Engineering, or related area.
