Position Summary
We are seeking a Principal UX Product Designer for Returns at Walmart, based in Bentonville, Arkansas. You will lead the design of innovative, holistic workflows that enhance the customer experience in our stores, particularly focusing on checkout and returns processes. This role involves collaborating across disciplines including UX, Process Design, Industrial Design, and Service Design to create seamless and efficient experiences. What you'll do
Design best-in-class product experiences, partner with research teams, and balance business goals with user needs. You will prototype rapidly, create scalable experiences with our Design System team, and champion Design Thinking throughout the organization. Your work will directly impact how millions of customers interact with Walmart stores. Minimum Qualifications
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Product Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, plus 5 years of relevant experience. Option 2: 7+ years of experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, multimedia, or related area. Preferred Qualifications
Design certification (e.g., IDEOU - Foundations in Design Thinking), experience in product development in UX, a Master’s degree in related fields, or industry experience in retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare. Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA) and creating inclusive digital experiences is highly valued. Advanced degrees such as Architecture, AI, Business, Cognitive Science, or Computer Science are a plus. Location
