Bridge Engineer - Bridge Inspection Team Leader Position
Shape the Infrastructure of Tomorrow
As a Bridge Engineer at our client's firm, you will lead efforts to ensure the safety and durability of vital infrastructure. This role offers you the opportunity to oversee bridge inspections, mentor a dedicated team, and build lasting relationships with clients.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and Inspire:
Direct and motivate a team of professionals in conducting safety inspections for bridges and tunnels, ensuring the integrity of our infrastructure. Expert Analysis:
Conduct detailed assessments using non-destructive testing methods, mechanized access equipment, and climbing gear. Your reports will inform safety decisions. Crisis Response:
Assess post-incident damage and recommend measures to ensure public safety, including bridge closures and detours. Strategic Coordination:
Collaborate with bridge owners and regulatory bodies to manage inspection schedules, traffic control, and access. Mentorship and Development:
Coach and train team members, promoting best practices in bridge inspection. Who You Are: Educated and Certified:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited institution and meet NBIS qualifications. Experienced:
At least 5 years in complex bridge safety inspections. A Skilled Communicator:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A Tech-Savvy Leader:
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bentley MicroStation. A Dedicated Professional:
Motivated, independent, with a strong work ethic and leadership skills. Inclusive and Collaborative:
Committed to fostering an inclusive workplace that promotes equity and reciprocal learning. Qualifications: DOT Inspection Team Leader approval (CT, RI, MA). Additional NHI coursework and certifications, especially in NDT. Active engagement in professional development. PE license.
