Based in
Sacramento, CA , GHD currently has an opportunity for a
Rail & Transit Lead
to help lead and grow our
Rail and Transit team
in Southern California. As the Rail & Transit Lead, you will support our rail transit leadership team and oversee transportation and related rail and transit pursuits and projects across California. Responsibilities include business development, client relationship management, and leading a diversified portfolio of projects. Limited staff management may be involved. Our ideal candidate has strong leadership, business development, project management, and rail transit engineering skills. Established client relationships and a proven record of developing new business are required. We seek self-motivated networkers who value building credible relationships with clients and the community. Responsibilities Project Resource Management: Manage deployment of project budgets, forecasts, and variances. Project Governance: Clarify roles, ensure compliance with organizational processes. Risk and Issue Management: Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and develop recovery plans. Portfolio Management: Lead governance and delivery of significant projects using appropriate methodologies. Project Team Management: Lead project teams, define vision, communicate outcomes, and build team capability. Personal Capability Building: Act as subject matter expert, maintain external certifications, stay updated on industry practices. Project Benefit Realization: Develop plans to evaluate and maximize business benefits. Enterprise Business Analysis: Interpret business needs and recommend solutions. Project Scope Definition: Lead planning, stakeholder consultation, and define deliverables. Stakeholder Management: Develop engagement strategies and ensure stakeholder input. Leadership and Direction: Communicate strategy, motivate teams, and align with organizational values. Transformational Change Management: Manage change projects, embed new behaviors. Culture of Innovation: Foster innovation through multistakeholder solutions. Project Assurance: Manage assurance reviews and address issues to ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Education Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Experience Minimum 15 years of experience At least 10 years of managerial leadership in Rail and Transit projects GHD encourages diversity and is an equal opportunity employer. We offer a salary range of $132,000-$227,000 based on experience.
