The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division supports customers across the Department of Defense, Civilian agencies, and international markets. We provide analytical and programmatic capabilities to inform decision-making. SPA's NATO Allied Command Transformation Group within JOID offers capability development, portfolio management, and support for NATO and partner nations. We focus on capability lifecycle management, standardization, and interoperability, including emerging domains like space and cyberspace. We seek a Military Partnerships Staff Officer to support onsite in Norfolk, VA. The role involves engaging with NATO and partner stakeholders, developing policies, delivering briefings, and supporting capability development activities. Responsibilities

Develop and deliver briefings to senior officers and decision-makers regarding partnerships. Contribute to policy development, directives, and process improvements related to partnerships. Support the Head of Partnerships IPT/Branch and coordinate with NATO and partner stakeholders. Travel up to 30 days per year for meetings and conferences. Assist in integrating NATO capability development processes with partner activities, ensuring alignment with NATO standards and policies. Provide input on emerging capabilities, capability gap analysis, and standardization efforts. Promote innovative, cost-effective, and interoperable partner solutions through engagement with S&T communities, industry, and academia. Required Qualifications

Master's degree in relevant fields or attendance at NATO/national military staff college (OF-3 or higher). Experience in foreign/international security, defense, or military affairs. 4+ years of experience with NATO partnerships, defense planning, or capability development. Experience within NATO or international organizations, or defense/security-related roles in national missions or embassies. Active NATO or National Secret Clearance. Ability to work onsite in Norfolk, VA. Additional Details
