The General Counsel reports to the Assistant Secretary of State and provides advice and counsel to all agency executive leadership on a variety of issues, including, but not limited to, litigation, contracts, regulatory and enforcement matters and legislative matters. This position oversees all agency legal functions and reviews proposed actions across all divisions to ensure consistency and compliance with laws and agency objectives. Works in coordination with the Attorney General's assigned legal counsel (or conflict counsel) to provide legal representation for the agency. benefits page Retirement State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period.

The ASRS defined benefit plan provides for life-long income upon retirement. You will also have the option to participate in a voluntary deferred compensation program to take advantage of tax-deferred retirement investments.
