We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled attorney to join our team as a Creditor Rights Bankruptcy Associate. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bankruptcy law, creditor rights, and insolvency proceedings. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work with a collaborative team of professionals on complex bankruptcy and restructuring cases, representing creditors, including secured and unsecured creditors, in both Chapter 11 reorganizations and Chapter 7 liquidations. Key Responsibilities: -Represent creditors (secured and unsecured) in bankruptcy proceedings, including contested matters and adversary proceedings. -Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on all aspects of bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditor rights issues. -Prepare and file legal documents such as proofs of claim, motions, objections, and other filings in bankruptcy cases. -Assist in negotiating and drafting settlement agreements, loan agreements, and other documents related to distressed assets. -Conduct legal research and analyze complex issues related to bankruptcy law, creditors' rights, and insolvency. -Advocate on behalf of clients in court hearings, motions, and adversary proceedings. -Manage and oversee discovery processes in bankruptcy litigation matters. -Work closely with senior attorneys and partners to develop case strategies, provide updates, and ensure effective case management. -Maintain strong client relationships and offer strategic counsel to help clients navigate through bankruptcy proceedings. What you need: -3+ years of experience in bankruptcy law, creditor rights, and/or insolvency law, ideally with experience representing creditors. -Strong knowledge of Chapter 11, Chapter 7, and other bankruptcy processes and proceedings. -Experience with bankruptcy litigation, including adversary proceedings, contested matters, and motions practice. -Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills. -Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to advocate effectively in court. -Ability to handle multiple cases and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. -Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. -A collaborative attitude and a team player mentality.- Preferred Skills: -Previous experience working in a large law firm or a bankruptcy boutique. -Familiarity with financial analysis and distressed asset valuation. -Experience in other related areas such as commercial finance or litigation.
