Firmware Engineer - Secure Boot

We are currently looking for a profile with strong experience in automotive bootloaders, particularly in the areas of secure boot and secure update mechanisms. Experience with the NXP S32Kx and STM32 family of devices, or similar platforms, would be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automotive bootloaders for ECU platforms.

Implement

secure boot and

secure update features in compliance with automotive security standards (ISO 21434, UNECE R155).

Work with communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet (DoIP) for bootloader operations.

Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure integration across platforms.

Conduct debugging, performance optimization, and testing of bootloader features.

Support flashing, diagnostics, and over-the-air (OTA) update mechanisms.

Document architecture, design, and testing for compliance and customer deliverables.

Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, with focus on bootloaders.

Strong programming skills in C/C++ for embedded systems.

Experience with secure boot, secure firmware update, and cryptographic libraries.

Familiarity with NXP S32Kx and STM32 family of MCUs, or similar automotive microcontrollers.

Knowledge of ISO 14229 (UDS), ISO 15765 (CAN-TP), and DoIP communication protocols.

Experience with OTA update frameworks and ECU flashing tools.

Preferred Skills Experience with TrustZone, HSM, or Hardware Security Modules.

Debugging tools (Lauterbach, JTAG, etc.).

Experience working with Bazel build system for embedded software projects

Estimated Min Rate : $70.00 Estimated Max Rate : $95.00
