Senior Principal Architect The Senior Principal Architect is responsible for designing and managing solutions that support the needs of Hazen's client base. Develop schematic and detailed design solutions in accordance with Hazen's standards. Coordinate with internal teams—including engineering, project management, construction estimating, field staff, and building code officials—as well as external consultants to deliver effective and efficient design solutions. Participate in document production to ensure full integration of all building components. Requirements: 10+ years of broad-based architectural experience, including building infrastructure design. Professional license and NCARB certification or the ability to obtain NCARB certification. Experience with budget, schedule, and quality management. Experience with public bid projects. Proficiency in architectural design and quality assurance. Knowledge of building systems and their coordination/integration, including Architectural, Structural, MEP, Civil. Knowledge of building codes, environmental regulations, and sustainability concepts. Experience with materials selection, construction detailing, and specifications. Proficiency in Revit BIM software; AutoCAD skills are a plus. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Bluebeam. Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and oversee architectural work throughout the project lifecycle. Supervise and lead the design team. Manage projects from concept through construction administration. Coordinate architecture and engineering disciplines to develop architectural concepts. Communicate with clients and consultants to clarify project goals. Lead architectural project teams, including obtaining approvals, preparing documentation, and overseeing construction. Ensure quality assurance through reviews during all project phases. Assist in developing project budgets, costs, and schedules. Review construction submittals and RFIs. Complete projects on time and within budget.
