Responsibilities

Lead architectural design and planning for complex projects. Align architectural solutions with business goals and client needs. Develop long-term design strategies and master plans. Participate in high-level decision-making with stakeholders and executives. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline adherence. Oversee design development from concept through construction documentation. Coordinate with engineering, construction, and consulting teams. Review and approve design deliverables and technical documentation. Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients. Present design concepts and solutions to clients and stakeholders. Negotiate project scope, fees, and contracts. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Supervise and mentor junior architects and design staff. Provide technical guidance and design direction. Foster a collaborative and innovative studio culture. Conduct performance reviews and support professional development. Champion design quality and sustainability. Integrate cutting-edge technologies and materials. Lead design reviews and critique sessions. Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes. Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws, and ADA standards. Oversee permitting and regulatory approval processes. Resolve complex technical and construction issues. Collaborate with legal and risk teams on project liabilities. Contribute to proposals, RFP responses, and marketing efforts. Identify new business opportunities and client leads. Represent the firm at industry events and conferences. Qualifications

Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch). Licensed/Registered Architect (e.g., NCARB certification in the U.S.). LEED Accreditation or other sustainability certifications (preferred). Continuing education in design, technology, or leadership. 10–15 years of progressive architectural experience. Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex projects. Deep understanding of building systems, codes, and construction methods. Experience across multiple project types (e.g., aviation, rail, transit, transportation, municipal, commercial, institutional). Mastery of architectural design principles and spatial planning. Proficiency in software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Lumion, Rhino, SketchUp, and Bluebeam. Familiarity with BIM workflows and project coordination tools. Strong detailing and construction documentation skills. Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff. Strong project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling. Ability to lead client meetings and coordinate with consultants and contractors. Strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present ideas clearly to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams. Commitment to design excellence and continuous improvement. Awareness of emerging technologies, materials, and sustainability practices. What We Offer
