The Director of Operations fosters an environment of empowerment and hospitality, creating memorable experiences through a shared, world-class entertainment environment.
The Director of Operations is responsible for building strong teams through development, effective hiring, and engagement. They oversee all venue business functions, ensure operational standards are met consistently, uphold Puttshack standards and procedures, maximize financial performance, and build community relationships to grow the brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example, demonstrating Puttshack Core Values daily.
- Supervise Department Managers and their teams to deliver exceptional service.
- Develop community relationships with local leaders and organizations.
- Coach and provide purposeful feedback to develop team members.
- Drive associate engagement and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Promote safety standards for guests and associates.
- Ensure venue operations are managed effectively and efficiently.
- Manage departmental budgets and spending.
- Delegate tasks and ensure their completion.
- Interact with guests to ensure a top-notch experience.
- Use business metrics and trends to improve performance and maximize profit and revenue.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a senior manager in a restaurant or entertainment venue generating $8MM+ in sales.
- Experience managing P&L statements.
- Familiarity with Food and Beverage management platforms.
- Proficiency with scheduling, ordering, inventory, and venue management software.
- Ability to manage and engage a team of 150+ hourly associates.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including navigating stairs.
- Innovative and proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates care and goes above and beyond in all tasks.
- High emotional intelligence and self-awareness.
