Duties

  • Oversee all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings and trial preparation.
  • Develop case theory and coordinate with experts for trial presentations.
  • Lead depositions, jury selection, and direct/cross examinations.
  • Manage in-court logistics and team roles.
  • Serve as primary counsel for nursing home negligence and elder-abuse clients.
  • Collaborate with partners on case strategies and settlement negotiations.
  • Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to training materials.
  • Participate in community outreach and develop content on elder-neglect topics.
  • Represent the firm at professional associations and legal education events.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the South Carolina Bar (in good standing).
  • Minimum 3 years of trial experience in nursing home neglect or related fields.
  • Proven record of at-trial verdicts or high-value settlements.
  • Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a full, trial-ready docket independently.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
