Summary
The Data Stack Developer drives the development, implementation, and optimization of our modern data stack. The role is responsible for leading the design and execution of data pipelines, data modeling, and infrastructure automation using cutting-edge tools like Snowflake, dbt, Terraform, and more. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our data platform is scalable, reliable, and aligned with business goals. The incumbent will lead and mentor a team of data engineers, analytics engineers, and other data professionals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Designs, builds, and maintains a scalable and efficient modern data stack using tools like Snowflake, dbt, Terraform, and other components. Establishes best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and storage. Develops and optimizes ELT/ETL pipelines using dbt and Snowflake. Ensures data pipelines are reliable, efficient, and scalable. Leads the design and implementation of data models using dbt to support analytics and reporting. Ensures data is clean, consistent, and accessible for stakeholders. Automates cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform. Ensures infrastructure is scalable, secure, and cost-effective. Collaborates with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions. Implements data governance policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance. Monitors and optimize Snowflake usage for cost and performance. Stays up-to-date with the latest trends and tools in the modern data stack ecosystem. Identifies opportunities to improve data processes and infrastructure. Performs other related duties as assigned. Experience
Generally requires 3 to 5 years of related experience. Education
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Master's degree is preferred. Credentials
Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
