Research Coordinator

The Research Coordinator provides semi-skilled technical support and carries out research-related tasks under general supervision. This role involves adapting and modifying standard procedures to meet the specific needs of each assignment. The Research Coordinator's work is evaluated based on the successful and timely completion of assigned tasks, with oversight provided as needed. Opportunities to Contribute: Assists in collecting samples and measurement data from experiments. Assists in performing analysis and tests. Records observations and scientific measurements. Assists senior staff members in conducting field experiments. Conducts research sessions and coordinates with researchers. Manages the participant (subject) pool by recruiting, screening, and maintaining records on research participants. Prepares and sets up research sessions including drafting protocol, coordinating with IT support. Compensates participants for their participation in the research sessions. Schedules lab space for research sessions. Maintains lab supplies and other research equipment. Ensures adherence to lab standards and practices to maximize safety and operational effectiveness. Coordinates and oversees the daily activities in a laboratory, including staff support and quality control. Assembles and operates technical equipment. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of related experience. Ability to lift and/or move medium weight objects. A well-qualified candidate for this position will also possess: Experimental skills in organic synthesis. This position requires the ability to multi-task and to work cooperatively with others. Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate's education and experience. Please note: This position is funded from a grant and/or contract which is renewed under the provisions for the grantor of the contract. Your offer of employment is dependent on continued funding.
