OUR PRACTICE Our practice has grown to provide a diverse network of veterinary specialty services including anesthesia, acupuncture, emergency, critical care, internal medicine, pain management, oncology, and surgery. The medical staff at Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists Miami has over 20 years of expertise in a wide array of specialty and emergency medical services for dogs, cats, and exotic animals. We are fully staffed and bilingual in English and Spanish. We offer 24-hour hospitalization and are committed to providing exceptional veterinary care. Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists Miami is not a general practice. We collaborate closely with primary care veterinarians in South Florida to ensure optimal outcomes for our patients. OUR HOME Miami is a vibrant city blending urban energy with beautiful beaches, cultural diversity, lively nightlife, and rich arts and music scenes. Residents enjoy crystal-clear waters, soft sandy beaches, and activities like fishing, swimming, diving, and boating. The city also offers hiking and biking trails, shopping, and cultural exploration, making it an exciting place to live and work. OUR HOSPITAL At Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists Miami, we provide emergency care for dogs and cats in Miami, South Miami, and Pinecrest. Our specialties include critical care, internal medicine, oncology, and surgery. We adhere to strict referral guidelines. After treatment, patients return to their primary veterinarians for follow-up. We do not offer routine preventive care such as vaccinations or parasite prevention. We are proud of our reputation in Miami and aim to be the preferred specialist center for primary care veterinarians. Our hospitals meet high standards of medical excellence, serving pets and veterinarians who trust our skilled emergency doctors and specialists. RESPONSIBILITIES: Build relationships with colleagues, clients, and support staff to foster a compassionate and collaborative environment. Encourage a learning environment for colleagues, support staff, and veterinary students. Manage triage and treatment plans for emergency patients. Provide ongoing care for hospitalized specialty patients, including overnight and weekend care. Maintain complete and accurate medical records. Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and support staff. Coordinate with referral partners via verbal communication and referral letters. Participate in morning rounds with specialists on hospitalized patients. Contribute to a positive and supportive work culture. Support the hospital's Fear-Free initiatives and values.
