Database Engineer (Junior)
1-3 years of experience with SQL development and database fundamentals. Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Server (required for this role). Basic understanding of database design principles, normalization, and data modeling concepts. Experience writing stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Familiarity with database performance concepts like indexing and query optimization. Experience building ETL processes and data pipelines using tools like Python, SQL, or ETL platforms (Glue, Step Functions, Lambda). Understanding of data integration patterns and best practices. Familiarity with data transformation and validation techniques. Experience with AWS services, particularly RDS and EC2 for database hosting, and Glue, Step Functions, and Lambda for ETL functions. Amazon Redshift experience preferred for data warehousing workloads. Understanding of cloud database deployment and management concepts. Basic knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD principles. Basic knowledge of data management concepts and data cataloging tools and processes.
