Job Summary:
The
Data Engineer (Junior)
will support database design, ETL pipeline development, and performance optimization for STB’s cloud data platforms including AWS RDS and Redshift. *This position is contingent upon contract award.* Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with database schema design and data modeling Develop stored procedures, triggers, and database objects Build and maintain ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions Assist DBA with query optimization and indexing strategies Support database migrations, upgrades, and data validation processes Help maintain data cataloging and metadata documentation Other duties as assigned Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):
US Citizenship with ability to obtain Moderate Risk MBI clearance Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 1–3 years of experience with SQL development and database fundamentals Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Server Basic understanding of database performance concepts and optimization Experience with AWS services such as RDS, Redshift, Glue, Lambda Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail About Diné Development Corporation (DDC): DDC is a Navajo Nation owned family of companies delivering IT, professional, and environmental solutions to federal, state, and tribal government agencies.
