Supervisory Functional Analyst

Help As a SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONAL ANALYST at the GS-0301-15 some of your typical work assignments may include: Responsible for analyzing, monitoring, assessing, planning, integrating, coordinating and providing military advice regarding Joint, Multinational, Interagency and other Mission Partner logistics operations for distribution, supply, services, maintenance systems, and concepts, technologies, and capabilities in the Joint Logistics, Directorate for Logistics (J4), The Joint Staff Performs supervisory and management functions of a team of civilian personnel within the Operational Logistics Performs complex technical studies of various operations, furnishing written or oral reports, which include determination as to the extent to which application of regulations, procedures, or methods will alleviate problems. Evaluates the sufficiency of strategic plans, identifies areas in need of remedial action, and provides recommendations to senior management, as needed. Takes steps to solve problems through application of existing methods, directives, etc., or applies innovative techniques to develop improved methods and procedures Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service Resume and supporting documents (See How To Apply) Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation May be required to successfully complete a probationary period Work Schedule: Full Time Overtime: Occasionally Tour of Duty: Flexible Recruitment Incentives: May be Authorized Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): Exempt Financial Disclosure: Required to comply with the provisions Ethics in Government Act and Public Law 95-521, as amended requires the submission of Disclosure Statement, SF 450, upon assuming the position, annually, and upon termination of employment Telework Eligibility: This position is situationally telework eligible Recruitment Incentives: Student Loan Repayment Program: May be Authorized Security - Employee must obtain/maintain a Special Sensitive (Top Secret/SCI) security clearance Drug Testing Designated Position: Yes May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and/or overtime. Qualifications: You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Analyzes, monitors, assesses, plans, integrates, coordinates and provides military advice regarding Joint, Multinational, Interagency and other Mission Partner logistics operations for distribution, supply, services, maintenance systems, and concepts, technologies, and capabilities in the Joint Logistics, Directorate for Logistics (J4), The Joint Staff; Applies development, integration and analysis of joint logistics capability areas for the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) and other senior leaders; Evaluates the sufficiency of strategic plans, identifies areas in need of remedial action, and provides recommendations to senior management, as needed; Participates in evaluations of the processes used by the Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC) and the Joint Staff (JS) to evaluate, validate, and monitor joint doctrine, organization, training, material, leadership, personnel, and facilities Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
