The Enterprise Data Environment (EDE) Team within Data Analytics & AI Enablement is looking for an experienced Platform Engineer with a blend of IT Systems Engineering and Data Engineering expertise. What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will be working with stakeholders, architects, and vendors to resolve complex issues with large-scale enterprise applications, specifically IBM CloudPak for Data (EDE). Key responsibilities will include the following: Leading the sustainment of IBM products, including IBM Knowledge Catalog, Watson Query, Watson Studio, DataStage, WatsonX.Data, and Cognos, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Architecting application landscapes and solutions for deployment within Lockheed Martin, leveraging expertise in IBM CloudPak (CP4D) Services architecture and security. Optimizing application performance, scaling, security, and cloud-based infrastructure components, ensuring high availability and reliability. Upgrading and patching software and database components in an OpenShift/Kubernetes environment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Leading testing efforts for load/performance testing and regression testing, identifying and resolving issues promptly. Interpreting systems metrics to diagnose and resolve problems, leveraging strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile (Scrum/Jira) fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills. What's In It For You

Domain experience in IT Systems Engineering, especially with administering applications deployed in Kubernetes, Red Hat-OpenShift environments Experience with implementing and delivering data solutions and pipelines on AWS Cloud Platform Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and Github capabilities in a data environment Experience with scripting languages Python, Java Script and at least one high level language (Java, C++, C, VB etc.) US Citizenship is required due to system access Desired Skills
Background in Data Analytics/Data Science Experience with data management and analytics, with IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D) and/or equivalent products like IBM Knowledge Catalog, Data Virtualization, DataStage and Cognos Experience with data modeling, data structures, databases, and ETL tools (DataStage, SSIS, SAP DS, NIFI, etc) Experience with DB2 or other relational database (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres etc.) Experience with Tableau, Tibco DV, Alteryx, Starburst, or Neo4j Experience with Data Lakes, Data warehouses and Big Data environments Understanding of Data Lifecycle Management Experience with installation, configuration, and support for large scale enterprise class applications Experience with AWS cloud and core services: S3, IAM, Lambda, EMR, EC2, RDS, VPC, Storage, etc Strong experience with SQL and/or Python Experience RHEL scripting, Shells, and Bash Experience with JDBC, ODBC, Connectors, API based access, and REST API calls Other Important Information You Should Know

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $131,000 - $227,125. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
