Welder
As a welder, you will be responsible for welding according to blueprint specifications, determining the appropriate welds, callouts, and positions to complete the job. You will read detailed welding blueprints and complete tasks promptly. The primary welding method is MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel ranging from 7 gauge to 1/4''. Additionally, you will assist with cutting, organizing, and staging materials for other employees. Fabrication duties include operating machines, grinding, cutting insulation, and finishing parts. You will spend 80% of your time on welding tasks and 20% on other duties.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks according to blueprint specifications.
- Determine proper welds, callouts, and positions.
- Read and interpret detailed welding blueprints.
- Conduct MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel (7 gauge - 1/4'').
- Assist with cutting and organizing materials.
- Stage materials for other employees.
- Operate machines and conduct grinding.
- Cut insulation and finish parts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Welding experience or degree.
- Experience with welding symbols preferred.
- Stable work history without frequent job changes.
Work Environment
You will work in a smaller shop that is experiencing significant growth. The company is seeking long-term candidates and plans to potentially relocate to a larger facility within the next year due to increasing demand.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
