The ideal candidate will possess a strong patient-centered focus and be able to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. This role involves working across various specialties including Medicine, Surgery, Telemetry, and Pediatrics, with a patient population consisting of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver direct patient care, assessing and monitoring patients' health status.- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.- Utilize advanced medical equipment including Omnicell medication dispensers, Baxter pumps, Masimo monitors, and GE telemetry monitoring systems.- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) using MEDHOST.- Participate in departmental and organizational initiatives aimed at improving the quality and safety of patient care.- Provide education and support to patients and their families. Qualifications: - Must possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.- Hold current certifications in ACLS and PALS (with a 60-day grace period to obtain PALS).- A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in Med/Surg or Telemetry.- Ability to float to other departments based on patient census and departmental needs.- Knowledge of common diagnoses and treatments such as COPD, CHF, Pre/Post Cath Lab, Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery, and Acute Respiratory Failure (both adult and pediatric).- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a compassionate approach to patient care.
