Accounts Payable Specialist
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Greer, South Carolina. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations by ensuring smooth and accurate processing of payables. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing invoices, reconciliations, and vendor communications while maintaining a commitment to precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices by matching, batching, coding, and entering them into the system.
- Post and reconcile batch transactions to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable or receivable with vendors and customers.
- Update and reconcile sub-ledgers with the general ledger for accurate reporting.
- Handle cash applications, account reconciliations, and chargebacks with attention to detail.
- Execute ACH transactions and manage check runs in compliance with company protocols.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounts payable processes and resolve issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in accounts payable operations, including invoice coding and processing.
- Strong knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) and check run procedures.
- Familiarity with account reconciliations and sub-ledger updates.
- Ability to research and resolve discrepancies with vendors and customers effectively.
- Proficiency in handling chargebacks and cash applications.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
