Senior Accountant
We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and oversee month-end close procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards.
- Create and post journal entries to support financial reporting and operational processes.
- Conduct detailed account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between company records and financial institution statements.
- Analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial records to maintain data integrity.
- Collaborate with other departments to support audits and compliance requirements.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement accounting best practices to streamline processes.
- Proven experience in month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger management and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.
- Expertise in account reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with bank reconciliation practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
