Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Quality Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level) to support Phantom Works team in Mesa, Arizona! This position works a 9/80 schedule! This position will be supporting manufacturing environment for proprietary programs with senior Quality Engineers to support planning reviews, inspection planning development for automated programs, and be responsible for resolving large scale issues be developing metric plans with cross-functional engineering teams. Successful candidates will have a technical background with strong communications skills with multi-disciplinary teams and an understanding of first-time quality and continuous improvement. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in data analytics and background in composites and/or electrical fabrication experience. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in one of the following relevant fields of study: Engineering Computer Science Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Mathematics Physics Chemistry Data Science IT (Information Technology) Biology Environmental Science Management Science Quality Systems Quality Assurance Manufacturing Management in Quality Life Sciences Statistics Aviation Technology Aviation Maintenance Science Aeronautics Aeronautical Science Astrophysics Aviation and Aerospace Safety Aviation Science Position Responsibilities: Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation. Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities. Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under general supervision. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor's or higher in one of relevant fields of study listed More than 1 year experience in manufacturing or fabrication environment More than 1 year of experience using Excel to perform data analysis More than 1 year of experience compiling and analyzing process data, metrics and control statistics to continuously improve process capability More than 1 year of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) Additional Preferred Qualifications: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with AS9100 or other similar QMS Experience working in Electronics, Fabrication or Manufacturing Active U.S. Security Clearance Experience in Model Based Definition (MBD) Experience with Composites Manufacturing Experience in a role that required presentation skills Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
