Main locations are Farmington Hills and Novi, occasional travel to Dearborn and Ferndale as needed. Full Time Benefit Eligible Shift: M-F 8-hour shifts with daily rotating start time between 7:45 am-8:45 am. No weekends, no holidays General Summary:
Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider (Physician or Advanced Practice Provider). Responsibilities:
Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties. Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing. Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and order environment. May document the provider's encounter with patients. Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider. Transcribes patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications. Certification/Licences Required:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted Medical Assistant obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Any issuing authority accepted Education/Experience Required:
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required Education/Experience Preferred:
Certified or Registered MA preferred Cardiology experience, Athena, 12 lead EKG preferred
