Digital Process Transformation Director

plays a critical role in aligning technology with the way UniFirst truly operates. Serving as the connective tissue between business operations and IT, this role brings a process-first mindset to the design and delivery of modern technology solutions. By leveraging AI, cloud-native platforms, and workflow orchestration tools, the role will drive end-to-end process automation that cuts across traditional application silos. As a strategic partner to both business leaders and technologists, this role ensures IT investments reflect real-world workflows—eliminating inefficiencies, improving data flow, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

Partner with business leaders to understand and map current-state end-to-end business processes across major operational domains (e.g., sales, onboarding, service delivery, billing). Identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities for automation, reengineering, or augmentation using AI, workflow orchestration, and modern development platforms. Collaborate with enterprise architects, developers, and AI specialists to design cloud-native solutions that reflect the actual flow of work, not just individual tasks. Serve as the process subject matter expert within IT, bringing visibility to process dependencies, data handoffs, and integration challenges. Define process KPIs and work with analytics teams to measure automation impact on performance and cost. Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to ensure alignment of goals and shared ownership of automation initiatives. Lead workshops, process discovery sessions, and design thinking activities to create future-state process visions. Champion a shift from application-centric to process-centric solution design across the IT organization.

Qualifications

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in IT, business process management, or enterprise applications. Minimum of 5 years of experience working in manufacturing, distribution, or service-based industries—including but not limited to industrial laundry and uniform rental. Proven track record of leading end-to-end process improvement and automation initiatives. Familiarity with AI technologies, workflow engines, low-code platforms, or orchestration tools. Strong background working with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders. Occasional travel may be required. Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
