Target Materials (TM) Analysts
to support national security operations. This position directly contributes to critical targeting and operational planning by producing high-accuracy mensuration, collateral damage estimates, and targeting materials for the Department of Defense (DoD) and Combatant Commands. Your Mission
As a Targeting Materials Analyst, you will leverage advanced imagery, geospatial data, and targeting tools to support operational planning, weaponeering, and battle damage assessment. Your expertise ensures the precision, accuracy, and effectiveness of U.S. operations across the globe.
What You’ll Do
Conduct
target coordinate mensuration (TCM)
production using direct, registration, multiple image geo-positioning, and resection techniques on various target types. Perform
Precise Point Mensuration (PPM)
using NGA-validated tools to support employment of GPS-guided munitions. Produce
targeting materials (TM)
and graphics in compliance with DoD, CJCS, and USCENTCOM policies/standards. Conduct
Collateral Damage Estimates (CDE)
and create required graphic products using DCiDE / DIEE. Perform
imagery research, analysis, and exploitation
to support targeting and combat operations. Assist with
weaponeering solutions
using Joint Munitions Effectiveness Manual (JMEM) Weaponeering System or other approved tools. Conduct
battle damage assessment (BDA)
and produce related imagery/geospatial products. Execute
no-strike list identifications
and nominations. Submit collection requests and update target databases as required. Perform
quality control
on TM products produced by other personnel. Contribute to policy, SOP, and standards development for targeting material production. Maintain strict compliance with security protocols to safeguard classified information. What You Bring
Education & Experience (any one of the following):
Senior Level:
Master’s + 12 years, or Bachelor’s + 17 years Mid Level:
Bachelor’s + 8 years Junior Level:
Bachelor’s + 3 years, or 7 years with no degree Required Certifications & Training:
NGA, CCMD, or Service Target Materials Production (TMP) certification Certified in
Basic CDE Methodology
or
PPM
by NGA (or NGA-accredited Service Component) Required Skills & Knowledge:
Proficiency with:
Socket Community Gold Standard (CGS) Joint Weaponeering System (JWS) DCiDE / DIEE Joint Targeting Toolbox (JTT)
Experience with Target Coordinate Mensuration (TCM), MIDB, and Google Earth Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to brief senior leaders Desired Qualifications:
Completion of Joint Targeting Course, Geospatial Imagery/Targeting Analyst Course, or Air Operation Center Course Experience in
