Director of Productino
PURPOSE:
The Director of Production (DOP) will play a key role in creating environments where the arts can tell God’s story in a creative and compelling way at Christ Church’s Contemporary and Classic worship services, ministry gatherings and special events. This person will help shape, build and support the Production Team’s culture, recruit, train, and oversee volunteers, recruit and oversee occasional staff, as well as maintain equipment and systems. The DOP will oversee the creation and production of content for video stories and podcast programs. This individual will play a key role in the assessment, staffing and management of outside events at the Oak Brook and Butterfield campus.

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS:
- Reports to the Executive Director of Worship Arts & Communication
- Provides oversight to the Classic and Contemporary Worship Technical Coordinators
- Serves onthe Worship Arts and Communication Leadership Team
- Oversees volunteers and occasional production staff
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership and administrative oversight managing all aspects of production including budgeting, staffing, project management, maintenance, repair and purchase planning at both the Oak Brook and Butterfield campus
- Pioneer new ways the technical arts, especially video, can enhance worship and create meaningful opportunities for the congregation and guests so that people’s hearts will be open to the life-changing message of Jesus
- Recruits, trains, shepherds and manages staff and volunteers
- Serves on the Worship Arts and Communication Leadership Team to collaborate, create and deliver life-changing worship, special events and digital assets
- Provide video leadership and coordination for Sunday Classic and Contemporary worship in person and online services
- Oversees, maintains and improves streaming online services and online delivery systems
- Provide production leadership, coordination and support for ministry gatherings, funerals, weddings and events
- Plans, directs, and produces audio and video content for worship, events, ministry gatherings and online spaces

- Support and model individual spiritual formation i.e. Worship, Grow and Serve. (Weekly worship, prayer, scripture reading, small group, volunteering/service, etc.).

Work Hours and Availability:
- Weekday and Sunday hours
- Evening, weekend and extended hours dependent on holidays and events

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in managing and supervising others
- 3+ years of demonstrated technical experience and expertise in video, audio and lighting
- Production/technical arts experience in church production, event production, or television
