You Are
We are seeking an experienced SAP BW / Datasphere Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and modernization of our enterprise data and analytics landscape. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere (formerly Data Warehouse Cloud), and SAP HANA with strong solution design skills to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.
The Opportunity

  • Solution Architecture & Design
  • Define and design enterprise data warehouse and analytics solutions using SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere.
  • Develop scalable data models, semantic layers, and integration patterns.
  • Establish best practices for performance optimization, governance, and security.
  • Data Migration & Modernization Lead migration initiatives from SAP BW (on-premise) to SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere.
  • Provide architectural guidance for hybrid and cloud-first strategies.
  • Integration & Data Management
  • Design data flows from SAP and non-SAP systems using ETL/replication tools (SLT, SDI, Data Services, APIs).
  • Ensure high-quality, consistent, and governed data for analytics.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with business teams to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Work with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and BI teams to deliver end-to-end reporting solutions.
  • Mentor development teams and provide technical leadership.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What You Need
  • Technical Expertise 10+ years of experience in SAP data management and analytics.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with SAP BW (BW on HANA, BW/4HANA).
  • Deep understanding of SAP Datasphere (Data Warehouse Cloud) capabilities.
  • Proficiency in SAP HANA data modeling (Calculation Views, CDS Views).
  • Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and integration with Datasphere/BW.
  • Familiarity with data integration tools (SLT, SDI, SDA, SAP Data Services).
  • Architecture & Leadership
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar senior consulting role.
  • Ability to design scalable, performant, and secure data solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, and security models.
  • Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset. Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a global enterprise environment.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: California
Compensation Range : $132,000-$198,000
Benefits
Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.
Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.
Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
