A well-established litigation law firm is seeking a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join its Providence, Rhode Island office. This full-time hybrid position offers an exciting opportunity to represent clients before the Rhode Island Workers' Compensation Court. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong courtroom presence, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage an active caseload in a dynamic legal environment.

Duties:
Represent clients in courtroom hearings before the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court
Manage a caseload of workers' compensation and insurance defense matters
Draft motions and legal documents; review medical records and employment documentation
Develop litigation strategies and provide legal analysis
Participate in depositions, mediations, and negotiations
Maintain regular communication with clients and keep them informed of case developments
Collaborate with colleagues on complex matters and contribute to team discussions
Ensure compliance with filing deadlines, court procedures, and ethical standards
Requirements:
1–5 years of experience handling workers’ compensation claims or insurance defense matters
Ability to manage a full caseload independently
Comfortable in court and capable of independently conducting hearings
Quick thinker with strong strategic and advocacy skills
Commitment to professional integrity and high-quality client service
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Licensed to practice law in the State of Rhode Island and in good standing
Skills:
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Proficient in legal research, drafting, and litigation procedures
Effective at client relationship management and legal advising
