A law firm seeks a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney in Hartford, CT. The role involves representing clients in courtroom hearings and arguing cases before the Connecticut Workers' Compensation Commission. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with strong communication and organizational skills.
Duties
Represent clients in courtroom hearings and before the Connecticut Workers' Compensation Commission. Manage a caseload independently, ensuring all deadlines and court requirements are met. Review medical records and employment documentation to develop case strategies. Provide clients with regular updates and strategic legal advice. Collaborate with colleagues on complex claims and legal updates. Requirements
Licensed to practice in Connecticut and in good standing with the state bar. 1-5 years of experience in workers' compensation claims and/or insurance defense. Comfortable in a courtroom setting, with the ability to argue cases independently. Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset. Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications
Licensed to practice law in Connecticut. Skills
