Information Assurance Analyst, Mid

The Opportunity:

Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to government agencies . In all of this "cyber noise," how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you. We need your knowledge as an information security risk spe cia list to help break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.

As an information security risk spe cia list on our team, you'll work with Navy programs to discover their cyber risks, understand applicable policies , and develop a mitigation plan. You'll get technical, environmental, and personnel details from engineers and SMEs to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, you'll help your team guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones.

You'll work on translating security concepts for your client so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission-critical networks and systems. This is your opportunity to act as an information security subject matter expert while broadening your skills in cybersecurity, security and network tools, and systems engineering.

You Have:

4+ years of experience with information assurance, and the Risk Management Framework ( RMF ) processes and package development

Experience with eMASS

Experience with the design and development of cryptographic devices and products, and key management systems

Knowledge of cryptographic systems such as COMSEC or TRANSEC functions, key management architectures, and DoD processes, including Risk Management Framework ( RMF ) security evaluations and DoD acquisition framework

Ability to interact directly with clients and stakeholders and operate on a collaborative, cross-functional team to identify problems, analyze data, generate solutions, advise on interoperability, and communicate results through written and verbal presentation

Ability to develop program-level documentation, including briefings, whitepapers, and transition plans, as well as coordinate and facilitate technical exchanges and c ond uct high-level operational planning

Top Secret clearance

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics

Ability to obtain a DoD 8140 IAT II Certification within 90 days of hire date

Nice If You Have:

Experience with systems engineering, including system assessment, design definition, system specifications, integration and interoperability, T & E, and logistics in support of C4ISR requirements

Experience with Analysis of Alternatives ( AoA ) and analysis of new and emerging technologies

Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, sof tware engineering, product management, and sof tware products

Knowledge of Sof tware-Defined Radios or Tactical Data Link products

Ability to work independently

Possession of excellent critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills

TS / SCI clearance

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics

DoD 8140 IAT II Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
