It has formed a partnership with a global business which will be announced imminently (but which is confidential for the time being). We are looking for a CPA qualified finance leader with a strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS, who has ideally been exposed to HR and operatons, and experienced a start up or scale up environment. The position reports directly to the Managing Director of the partnership. The Head of Finance will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations while also providing oversight for core business operations, HR, and administrative functions. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, execution-focused leader who thrives in dynamic environments and wants to shape the infrastructure of a scaling business. Key Responsibilities: Finance & Accounting Own and manage the full-cycle accounting function (AP, AR, GL, month-end close, etc.) Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP Develop internal financial controls, budgeting processes, and forecasting tools Partner with CEO on building and managing financial models to support business growth Prepare investor and board reporting packages Support external audits, tax filings, and compliance activities Lead integration of finance systems post-JV close Operations Oversight Develop and implement scalable business processes to support service delivery and consulting operations Identify and manage operational risks; implement mitigation strategies Assist in project tracking, margin analysis, and resource planning Coordinate with BP systems where operational alignment is needed HR & People Administration Establish baseline HR processes, employee contracts, onboarding, and performance tracking Implement systems for timekeeping, payroll coordination, benefits administration Partner with leadership to support employee engagement, retention, and culture-building Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws Act as HR point of contact for benefits, policies, and employee concerns Administration & Compliance Manage office administration, vendor contracts, insurance policies, and basic legal coordination Maintain corporate filings and records, and ensure compliance with relevant corporate governance standards Support CEO with operational planning and cross-functional coordination Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred) 8–12 years of relevant experience in finance roles, ideally within consulting, technology, or professional services. Experience working with European and UK based firms will be preferred. Hands-on experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, MS365 etc.) Strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS and financial reporting requirements Experience in early-stage or scaling environments highly desirable Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and proactive mindset Seniority level
