The Opportunity... Focused on one program to start, with the opportunity to expand to more clean mobility programs. Health benefits will be provided. Program-specific support tasks:
Provide excellent case management and customer support through program phone line and email to all interested applicants including application backlog, incentive processing, and cross-referrals to other electric vehicle incentive programs. Track and process all client details and incentive awards, with an emphasis on income-qualifying individuals; administrative-type duties will be a major focus for this role. Support monthly reporting and invoicing on program metrics and enrollment. Support a full-time program phone line during regular business hours. Track and report program activities in CRM platforms as needed Find and attend various outreach and engagement events throughout San Diego County for program promotion including activities such as presenting, tabling, and networking. Collaborate closely with GRID colleagues at Access Clean California and other clean mobility programs to become a subject matter expert for customer referrals and to share best practices and learning across programs. Lead proactive client outreach through email and mailed communications to inform past, current and future GRID solar and BESS clients, participants from other clean mobility programs, and income-qualified San Diego residents at large. Foster and maintain partnerships with CBOs, nonprofit partners, and local businesses to assist in spreading awareness and increasing enrollment. Participate, develop, or lead in-person client outreach events as needed to meet program enrollment goals. Other tasks and projects, as needed. Actively participate in the organization's equity, inclusion, and diversity work Work closely with the Clean Mobility Manager to integrate, develop, and apply for new initiatives and opportunities in the clean mobility space for income-qualified individuals Assist in story-telling efforts such as blogs, social media, and newsletters to collect client testimonials and share program impacts Work closely with Solar Outreach team on other tasks as needed to deliver clean mobility programming and/or solar to income-qualifying families
What you need to bring to this role...
Experience living/working in economically disadvantaged communities and with diverse populations or at least ability to relate to and respect diverse populations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (ability to meet with partner organizations, speak to groups about GRID Alternatives' work, educate potential clients about our services, and generally be a positive GRID Alternatives representative in the community) Good organization skills and attention to detail in reviewing documents Excellent time management skills with ability to balance quality and quantity across multiple work activities Team player and comfortable working independently Proficient with computers and ability to quickly learn new programs Available for weekend and evening work, as needed to meet community outreach needs Travel throughout the San Diego region will be required. GRID Alternatives provides travel reimbursement.
It would be great if you also had...
Professional working proficiency in Spanish, Vietnamese, or Arabic; proficiency in other languages is also preferred but not required Outreach experience, particularly in the communities mentioned above (Similar or equivalent experience will be considered) Knowledge of/history working in San Diego Experience or knowledge of the basics of electric vehicles, charging, e-mobility, solar energy, energy efficiency or background in renewable energy is helpful but not required Clean mobility experience or knowledge of transportation equity programs is helpful but not required Experience working with customer relationship management (crm) platform or grant management software (gms) platform, such as Salesforce, helpful but not required
*Hired CA candidates must be able to pass a screening for drugs that are illegal in the state of California, including: amphetamine, cocaine metabolite, opiates, and PCP.
Where you will sit & the places you may go...
This position may require 10%-25% out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects. Availability to work nights and weekends may be required.
GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel and/or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle use. In this instance, applicants must hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.

($23- $26 per hour) , plus the benefits listed below.
