Press Brake Operator – Dixon, Illinois We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our team. This position requires experience operating both manual and CNC-controlled press brakes to bend, shape, cut, and manipulate sheet metal and plates. The ideal candidate will be quality-driven, safety-focused, and able to work independently under limited supervision in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities of the Press Brake Operator: • Operate a manual and CNC-controlled press brake to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or plates. • Prepare, set up, and adjust press brake equipment as required by production schedules and product plans. • Measure, align, and position materials accurately. • Inspect finished pieces for compliance with specifications and quality standards. • Perform routine press brake maintenance. • Operate overhead cranes safely. • Read, interpret, and follow product plans and instructions. • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Press Brake Operator Requirements and Qualifications: • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. • Related press brake experience or completed technical training. • Ability to operate or learn to operate press brake controls safely and effectively. • Basic math and computer skills. • Ability to follow instructions and work independently. • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality.
Preferred Education and Experience: • Trade school certification. • Similar or related product knowledge. • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment. • Advanced computer skills, particularly with Microsoft products.
Pay for Press Brake Operator:
$19.00–$23.00/hour
Type:
Full-time, 1st Shift
Schedule:
Monday – Thursday OR Tuesday – Friday (with voluntary overtime opportunities)
Hours:
5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
