Job Description Description: Position Overview: The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products while maximizing resource efficiency. This role requires strong analytical skills, experience with MRP, demand planning, production planning, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities: Production Scheduling & Planning - Develop, maintain, and update production schedules considering lead times, production capacity, and resource availability. - Prioritize production activities to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
Workflow Coordination & Resource Management - Coordinate production workflows to ensure efficient use of resources. - Collaborate with various departments to align production schedules with overall business objectives.
Skills and Qualifications: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems. - Proficiency in demand and production planning. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, heavy manufacturing environment. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Requirements: Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field OR 5+ years of experience in heavy manufacturing with a focus on production scheduling Subject Matter Expert (SME) in MRP/ demand/ capacity planning within an ERP system Proficient in Microsoft Excel Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify improvement opportunities High attention to detail and organizational accuracy Proven ability to collaborate across multiple departments to meet production goals Effective verbal and written communication skills Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
