Assembler – Dixon, Illinois
Our customer in Dixon, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re hiring MFG Assemblers to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Manufacturing Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling equipment using hand and power tools while following instructions, schematics, and quality standards. This role also involves operating lifting equipment and documenting completed work.
Responsibilities of the MFG Assembler: • Operate hand and power tools for mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electronic assembly including screwdrivers, wrenches, wire cutters, air wrenches, hand drills, micrometers, voltmeters, tape measures, plasma cutters, MIG welding, soldering irons, and finish grinders. • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and floor jacks as needed. • Interpret work instructions to install, fasten, and connect parts accurately. • Visually inspect previous installations and own work prior to final quality checks; make adjustments as necessary. • Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment. • Use technology to document completed assemblies. • Communicate with supervisors to ensure inventory levels are sufficient and expedite parts as required. • Provide assistance to co-workers as requested. • Ensure quality standards are met while achieving task-related estimated hours.
MFG Assembler Requirements and Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED required. • Experience in a custom installation or manufacturing environment preferred. • Vocational training in automotive or industrial mechanics, including basic welding, fabrication, electrical, and hydraulic skills is a plus. • Similar or related product knowledge helpful. • Ability to follow instructions and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Pay for MFG Assembler:
$18.25 – $21.75/hour
