Assembler – Freeport, Illinois (3rd Shift, Temp Position)
We are looking for dependable Assemblers to join our 3rd shift production team in Freeport, Illinois. This is a great opportunity for entry-level candidates, including recent high school graduates, to get hands-on experience in a clean, air-conditioned facility. Training is provided on 1st shift before transitioning to 3rd shift.
Responsibilities of the Assembler: • Inspect parts for visual defects. • Check part diameters using air gages. • Count and sort parts as required. • Contain and separate defective parts. • Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
Assembler Requirements and Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED required. • Ability to read and keep accurate records. • Comfortable standing and walking throughout the shift. • Must pass a 4-panel drug test. • No felonies within the last 7 years and no violent convictions in criminal history. • Steel-toed boots required (company reimburses 50% through approved vendors). • Reliability and attention to detail are a must.
Extra Details: • Training will be on
1st shift (7 AM – 3 PM)
before moving to 3rd shift. • Orientation is held on Mondays at 8 AM (arrive by 7:30 AM). • Paid breaks: one 20-minute paid lunch and one 10-minute paid break. • Breakroom is fully stocked with lots of food options. • Facility is climate-controlled with A/C. • Returning employees: please check with Hughes before submitting.
Pay for Assembler:
Competitive hourly rate (discussed during hiring).
