Job Description Salary: $25/game Make the callliterally. Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:3010:30 pm (12 nights/week as scheduled) Help us deliver a fun, fair, and well-run Adult Volleyball League. As an Adult Volleyball Referee, youll manage gameplay, enforce league and facility rules, and keep matches on time and on track.
What youll do Arrive prepared and on time; start and end matches per schedule. Officiate games consistently, enforce rules, and maintain professional control of play and player conduct. Educate players/coaches on rules as needed and handle protests or disputes calmly; escalate issues to the Athletic Supervisor when appropriate. Keep School and Park District facilities neat and organized; wear Crystal Lake Park District apparel while on duty. Prioritize safety: report hazards, complete incident/accident reports promptly, and follow all District policies and procedures. What you bring Experience: At least 1 year officiating and/or coaching (recreation or competitive). Knowledge: Solid grasp of volleyball rules and recreational league operations. Minimums: High school diploma/equivalent; age 18+. Skills: Clear communication, confidence in rule enforcement, sound judgment, punctuality, and professionalism. Teamwork: Positive, solutions-focused approach; able to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical & work conditions On your feet frequently; walking, standing, and moving throughout the court area. Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs (with assistance for heavier items). Indoor gym environment with occasional elevated noise; limited outdoor exposure when moving between facilities. Ability to maintain composure and make decisions under pressure and time constraints.
