Scope

BeVera Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Graphic Artist to support the Public Affairs Office in delivering high-visibility, quick-turn requests in alignment with the new MRDC mission and responses to global combatant commands.

Core Design & Technical Expertise

Demonstrated expertise in creating and producing print and digital design materials for diverse formats and platforms. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects) and Microsoft PowerPoint. Design & Production

Design, edit, produce, and publish a wide range of high-quality visual products and display materials, including graphics for slideshows, templates, logos, brochures, flyers, business card templates, digital animations, command publications, scientific posters, exercises, VIP visits, tradeshow exhibits, installations (display cases and wall graphics), and other informational materials, ensuring optimal print quality. Deliverables will include both electronic and print formats, i.e., slideshows, templates, logos, brochures, templates, digital animations, scientific posters, command publications, installations, and other informational materials. Web deliverables must be 508-accessible. PDFs must be delivered in a 508-accessible format, with required alt. tags. Print deliverables will be produced in-house or at the highest quality possible for the cost. Strategic & Collaborative Responsibilities

Regularly propose new concepts, working with contractor and Government teammates to produce militarily relevant content, propose creative concepts, and produce materials that align with organizational branding and communication goals. Serve as on-site graphics Point of Contact (POC) to support graphics reach back. Assist with gathering photos, maintaining photo repository, and conducting pre-client reviews. Content & Asset Management

Continually update and maintain image library for relevant images related to all research areas that can be used for presentations and productions. Edit and format PowerPoints for consistency and uniformity throughout slide decks. Requirements

Minimum Education and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Visual Communications, or related field, and 3+ years of professional design experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Proven experience (3+ years) creating and producing high-quality visual products across both print and digital formats. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects) and Microsoft PowerPoint. Demonstrated expertise in designing and publishing visual materials including slideshows, templates, logos, brochures, flyers, scientific posters, digital animations, command publications, exhibits, and installations. Ability to ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards, including alt. text tagging for PDFs and web content. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple high-visibility, quick-turn deliverables. Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting military, defense, or federal government communication environments. Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) Operations Security (OPSEC) requirements. Knowledge of military protocol, customs, and courtesies for senior leader and VIP events. Experience coordinating with Public Affairs or Strategic Communications teams to ensure content aligns with mission objectives and organizational branding. Ability to propose creative concepts, develop militarily relevant content, and collaborate with Government and contractor teammates. Experience serving as a graphics point of contact (POC), including supporting reach-back needs, gathering photos, maintaining repositories, and conducting pre-client reviews. Conditions of Employment

Work Location:

Position is located on-site in Fort Detrick, MD. Must reside in Frederick, Maryland or surrounding area to meet duty location requirements. Work Schedule:

Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work outside normal duty hours may be required to meet mission needs. On-Call and Holiday Coverage:

Weekend and federal holiday on-call support may be required. Telework:

Telework is at the discretion of the Government and requires prior approval. The standard expectation is on-site presence. Travel Requirements:

Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS), including travel outside normal business hours, to fulfill mission objectives. Government-Furnished Equipment:

All required equipment, software, telephone, and office space will be provided by the Government. Training:

Must complete training on Government financial systems and program management systems as required for the position. Information Assurance Certification:

Must possess and maintain the appropriate and current Information Assurance (IA) certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M prior to performing IA functions.
