Job Summary:

Join our customer's team as a Backend Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in designing, building, and scaling robust infrastructure and innovative backend systems. You will leverage your expertise in Kotlin, Java, and Go to architect solutions that support cutting-edge application features and data processing at scale. This is an opportunity to collaborate with top engineering talent while shaping backend technology in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect large-scale, reliable backend infrastructure to power critical business applications.
• Write clean, high-quality, and maintainable code using Kotlin, Java, and Go.
• Support application development, interface integration, database architecture, and feature enhancement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver on business objectives and product milestones.
• Participate in code reviews, providing mentorship and technical guidance to other backend engineers.
• Contribute to the deployment, monitoring, and testing of new features and services.
• Champion best practices in software engineering, ensuring code quality and scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Kotlin and Java; proficiency in GoLang is a significant plus.
• Deep expertise with Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, and Load Balancers.
• Proven experience with gRPC, API development, and dependency injection frameworks.
• Extensive knowledge of MySQL and/or PostgreSQL databases, including data modeling and ETL pipelines.
• Strong skills in object-oriented design and XML schema definition.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and detail-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience mentoring and leading backend engineering teams.
• Track record of successfully launching scalable backend features in fast-paced environments.
