Structural Engineer – Facade / Aluminum & Glazing

We’re looking for a Structural Engineer specializing in aluminum and glazing facade systems to join our growing team in Honolulu. You’ll lead system design, collaborate with architects and contractors, and ensure the structural integrity of high-performance curtain wall and building envelope projects.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and engineer facade and curtain wall systems for commercial and institutional buildings.
• Collaborate with fabrication teams and suppliers to optimize aluminum/glass/steel systems.
• Review and prepare shop drawings for code and structural compliance using CAD/structural software.
• Perform calculations for aluminum, glass, and steel systems including loads, connections, and deflection.
• Conduct field inspections and testing of glazing, waterproofing, and roofing systems.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Structural or Civil Engineering (facade focus a plus).
• Experience in facade engineering, curtain wall, or building envelope design.
• Proficiency in structural software (ETABS, SAP2000, MIDAS Gen) and CAD.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with U.S. codes (IBC, ASCE, ASTM).

Bonus Points For:

• Teaching/training background in engineering or CAD.
