As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the successful delivery of construction projects from estimating/bidding through pre-construction, execution, and closeout. You will work closely with the Director of Construction to help ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to assist in coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and consultants.

This is a unique opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join a collaborative team and have an impact on the organization on day one.
RESPONSIBILITIES
·Assist in oversight on all active construction projects and collaborate with Director of Construction on future opportunities
·Oversee coordination for all inspections; meet inspectors on job sites when required and keep track of all inspections and drawing materials
·Maintain schedule for procurement of materials and vendors
·Coordinate schedule for self-performing skilled labor team
·Develop and maintain project schedules for new and ongoing projects
·Assist with onboarding new vendors and subcontractors to Project Management and Billing Software
·Review drawings from architects and provide initial budget take offs for quick-turn requests
·Track and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals to ensure timely responses and documentation
·Monitor project budgets, update cost tracking logs, and flag potential overruns to the Director of Construction
·Assist in preparing project status reports and present updates during internal and external meetings
·Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety standards; maintain jobsite safety documentation
·Support the closeout process, including punch lists, warranty collection, and turnover documentation
·Coordinate with accounting team to review subcontractor invoices, pay applications, and lien waivers for accuracy
·Help draft scopes of work, bid packages, and review subcontractor proposals
·Maintain organized digital and physical project files for drawings, permits, contracts, and correspondence
·Assist in quality control by reviewing workmanship during site visits and reporting deficiencies
·Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to support repeat business
QUALIFICATIONS
·2-3 years of project management experience, construction management experience, or vendor management in a related field
·Proven experience and knowledge of construction processes, scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar), and budgeting
·Strong ability to manage, communicate with and maintain leadership over vendors at multiple job sites
·Proficient in technology, construction management tools. Experience with permit expediting a bonus
·Proficient knowledge of all relevant Microsoft 365 applications (Calendars, Word, Excel, Adobe, Power Point)
