Position Overview:

• Role: Critical Care RN
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
• Schedule: 3 shifts/week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday (EOH)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Facility Billing String: Medefis
• Urgency: Normal

Unit & Responsibilities:

• Reports to Unit Director/Manager/designee
• Provides high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients (pediatrics through geriatrics)
• Follows AACN Critical Care Nursing Standards
• Recognizes and responds to cardiac arrhythmias and life-threatening situations
• Performs comprehensive assessments and ongoing evaluations
• Develops, implements, and adjusts patient care plans including discharge planning
• Manages airway, ventilation, hemodynamics, and cardiac stability
• Assists with procedures such as temporary pacemaker insertion and ambulance transports

Skills & Requirements:

• Strong knowledge in managing life-threatening conditions
• Proficient in critical thinking, prioritization, and emergency response
• Maintains current licensure, certifications, and ongoing education
• Stays up to date with trends, technology, and ethical standards in critical care
• Participates in mandatory education and annual competency evaluations

Ideal Candidate:
Experienced, accountable critical care RN with strong assessment and emergency response skills, comfortable with complex, high-acuity patients, and committed to continuous learning and practice excellence.
