Home Loan Specialist

The Home Loan Specialist is an entry-level role supporting various mortgage channels, with a focus on loan closing operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient processes that align with business goals and customer service standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Perform routine data entry and validation tasks
  • Initiate third-party orders (e.g., title, appraisal, hazard insurance, flood certification, credit reports)
  • Review and validate loan documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Handle routine communications via phone, email, and chat
  • Monitor work queues and intervene as needed to maintain workflow
  • Support loan closing and funding processes
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors aligned with the organization's culture and values

Required Skills:

  • Customer service
  • Data entry
  • Administrative support
  • Loan operations and mortgage processing
  • Banking or financial services experience
  • Familiarity with Encompass or similar loan origination systems
  • Loan closing and funding experience
  • Understanding of TRID regulations
  • Title experience is a plus

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • General understanding of applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations
  • Prior experience in financial services or mortgage industry preferred

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
