- Medical/surgical nursing experience
- Telemetry experience
Description:
Unit has a total of 38 beds.
Staffing includes a charge RN, several RNs, an LPN, PCTs, and a unit secretary.
Day shift consists of 1 charge RN, 6-7 RNs, 1 LPN, 3 PCTs, and 1 unit secretary.
Night shift consists of 1 charge RN, 6 RNs, 1 LPN, and 2-3 PCTs, with HUC for part of the shift.
Patient ratios are 6:1 during the day and goal for charge nurse to assist.
Night shift ratios stretch to 7:1.
Equipment used includes Baxter IV pumps, wound vacs, SCDs, and EMR Cerner Powerchart.
Typical procedures performed on the unit include peripheral IV starts and dressing changes.
Ideal candidates are team players with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others without being asked.
Travelers will float before permanent staff.
Weekends require every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.
This position is a contractor replacement.
