Job Description & Requirements
* Specialty: ED - Emergency Department * Discipline: RN * Start Date: 09/15/2025 * Duration: 13 weeks * 36 hours per week * Shift: 12 hours * Employment Type: Travel
Travel RN - Level 3 ED Observation Unit Location: Rochester, NY Start Date: 9/15 Assignment Length: 17 weeks Schedule: 3x12s | Rotating Days/Evenings/Nights Additional Requirements: On-call, callback, charge, holidays, and weekends as needed Join a high-acuity, fast-paced Emergency Department Observation Unit caring for adult patients under evaluation for hospital admission. This unit sees a rapid patient turnover (20-27/day) with an average stay of 27 hours, supported by 24/7 provider coverage. The role involves managing a wide range of observation and boarding patients. Job Responsibilities:
* Provide care for diverse adult patients needing extended observation or awaiting inpatient placement * Collaborate closely with physicians and ED staff to manage short-stay and full-admission patients * Perform telemetry monitoring and support rapid care transitions
Requirements:
* Active NY RN License (no exceptions) * Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience * Telemetry experience required
Certifications:
* BLS (AHA only) * NIHSS preferred
