? Position Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Critical Care Unit (CCU)
Facility: Centennial Medical Center Location: 2300 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203 Building: Main Tower Cost Center: 654/64201 Shift Type: Variable (Weekend & Holiday Rotation Required) Scheduling: 4-week blocks with 3-4 weekend shifts required per period Dress Code: Galaxy blue, red, or black scrubs; scrub jackets/vests only
? Unit Overview: Cardiac Critical Care Unit (CCU)
Beds: 32
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2
Patient Population: Cardiac critical care patients, including those with advanced heart failure, post-cardiac surgery, cardiogenic shock, and patients requiring advanced cardiac support
Specialty Focus:
Cardiogenic shock program with 12 designated beds
Providers specialized in advanced cardiac care
? Unit Equipment & Procedures:
Equipment Used:
Hill-Rom beds
Phillips telemetry monitors
Advanced Monitoring & Devices:
PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring
Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
Impella device
Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) - preferred
Procedures Performed on Unit:
Central line insertions
Swan-Ganz catheter insertions
Intubations
? Technology & Support:
EMR System: Meditech
Support Staff:
Student nurse externs assist as techs
Unit secretary available Mon-Fri, 0730-1530
? Required Experience & Skills:
MUST HAVE:
Recent cardiac critical care experience
Strong critical thinking and ICU background
PREFERRED ADVANCED SKILLS:
Experience with PA catheters, IABP, Impella, CRRT
? Certifications Required:
BLS - AHA
ACLS - AHA
Tennessee or Compact RN License
