The Director Talent and Organizational Design serves as the primary lead for all performance management, talent review processes and acts as a subject matter expert on process development, outcomes and organizational design. This role will partner with business leaders, HR Business Partners, and other HR functions to identify opportunities across the employee lifecycle to create programs and tools that lead to an enhanced employee experience through the use of systems, tools, and other methods to evaluate organizational impact. The Director is responsible for leading the collaborative implementation of high-impact performance management and succession planning as well as developing, implementing, and optimizing organizational design, structures, processes, and systems that align with the strategic goals of the organization. This position will be working out of the Generac Headquarters in Waukesha, WI. Talent Review/Succession Planning/Performance Management Manage and execute annual performance management, talent review & succession calendar that includes key dates / activities for employees, managers, HR Business Partners and TM / HRIS System maintenance. Monitor progress toward this plan to ensure all processes remain on-schedule. Operationalize the performance management process from goal setting, progress updates, talent profile and career discussions, performance review, and calibration. Partner with Corporate Communications for communication plans to support key performance management and talent review processes and timelines. Coordinate with HRIS and IT to define, develop, test, document, train and implement key performance and talent reviews via the Talent Management System. Collaborate with HR Business Partners to measure effectiveness and to make enhancements as needed. Act as a trusted advisor to provide expertise on how to identify and invest in critical talent, as well as influence key talent decisions to ensure that the right people are in critical roles and framework capture culture and engagement needs. Key Talent Development/Organizational Design Assist with the talent needs analysis, to validate talent readiness, execute deeper gap analysis and/or round out strategic assessment strategy. Align with Learning & Development to assess internal Leadership development and HiPo development programs to ensure alignment with key talent development objectives and outcomes. Organizational Design:

Design and deliver the OD framework which is adopted and valued by the enterprise. Change Management Partner with change champions to ensure initiatives support the transition of teams and processes during organizational restructuring. Develop communication strategies to ensure transparency and employee buy-in. Optimization Partner with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies in current organizational structures and propose solutions for improvement. Use data-driven insights to assess organizational performance and make recommendations for optimization. OD Framework Oversee the training on the utilization of the OD Framework. Collaborate with leadership to understand business priorities and design structures that support growth and innovation. Provide guidance and mentorship to HR teams and department leaders in implementing organizational changes. Leadership Design and direct the work of the functional area. Selects, coaches, and develops the team, setting objectives that align with company strategy to inspire and motivate the team. Manages organizational talent through performance management, succession planning, and development. Designs and directs processes by which team and individual performance are recognized, feedback is consistently delivered, and performance is systematically improved. Other Duties assigned and the following: Work closely with stakeholders to ensure all programs are inclusive and aligned with the Generac People strategies. Crosstrain on and serve as a Workday system SME / Backup. Act as the system Subject Matter Expert (SME) to deliver training materials, individual development plans, training sessions, coaching and mentoring process. Develop and distribute resources and tools to employees, managers, and HR Business Partners. Support other Talent Management or Engagement projects, where needed. Education Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources or related field Work Experience 7 years of progressive experience in Talent Management or related field 5 years demonstrated skills related to Talent Management principles/ Talent cycle program development and execution. 3 years Organizational Design & Effectiveness Global organization understanding of cultural and regional differences. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills. Sense of urgency and ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-energy environment Ability to develop and maintain strong, effective internal customer/business partner relationships to achieve objectives. Ability to understand complex global organization & interdependence; using knowledge to influence & make talent program decisions. Ability to demonstrate strong business acumen in strategy, industry trends and best practices in the areas of Talent. Management Innovative and proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise integrity and sound judgment in complex and ambiguous situations. Strength in reporting metrics/data analytics Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint) Preferred Job Requirements Education Advanced degree in relevant field such as Business, Education, Organizational Psychology, or Organizational Development Certification / License Certified in a Talent Management Program or Assessment Tool Relevant professional certifications, such as PHR, SPHR, ATD or other training association certifications Work Experience Demonstrated ability to work in a global, matrixed organization to develop and deliver Talent Management and/or development programs.
